Valentine’s day is coming up and finding the perfect valentine’s gifts for dog lovers has never been easier. There are so many options out there to find animal themed and custom items but I have compiled my favorite items and companies that I have gone through. Custom Art Work
I’ll admit it, I jumped on this trend and am so glad that I did. If you are looking for valentine’s gifts for a dog lover with a serious fandom, this is the perfect gift. Have you seen the portraits of your favorite characters with their head swapped out for your dogs? Personally, I am a big fan of Game of Thrones. So when the opportunity came up to have a custom portrait done, I knew what I wanted.
If you are familiar with Game of Thrones, you can probably see why my dog gets called Ghost on the weekly. Iconic Paw did a fabulous job transforming Tiberius in Jon Snow. Turn around time was super quick and the quality is top notch. There are a lot of companies that offer a similar service. However, having worked with Iconic Paw I can attest to their customer service and quality products. Other portraits include, Pennywise, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, comic book hero’s and several others.
Petals and Tails
This one is a little outside the box but bare with me. Petals and Tails is our favorite CBD provider for dogs. Both of my dogs have allergies, not bad but they have seasons where they are a bit itchy. Petals and Tails offers CBD infused shampoo and paw balm with floral extract and real scent. Matching sets
Bandana & Mask
Many times you can find cute matching sets of things to include your significant other and the dog in the fun. Lately, I have seen… and participated in matching dog bandanas and mask. Hopefully, that trend doesn’t have to stick around forever, but for right now, it is a very cute and useful gift.
Bowl and Tumbler
My dogs and I travel in our campervan a lot. When I saw that YETI had a dog bowl, in our colors I knew I wanted it. YETI is not exactly cheap but a very high quality brand. You can get two different size dog bowls and various tumbler shapes and sizes in the same colors.
Having said that, I actually found a matching set at my local TJMaxx of a different brand. Hydra Peak has some great water bottles and apparently dog bowls. I have searched the internet and other than Postmark and eBay I cannot find the bowl for sale. So if you are looking for a cheaper option check your TJMaxx, Marshals or Home Goods.
Phone Case
Pets United has been absolutely wonderful for custom phone cases. I have one of their phone cases on my phone as I am typing this. To make your phone case, you just have to send in your favorite photo of your pup and pick out your design. Their website has so many options from landscapes, glitter, floral, cute little stamps and more. When I order and picked out my design, the company sent me a photo proof to approve and then got it out to me soon after. Pets United also makes cute canvas bags and apparel.
Custom Jewelry
They say, “diamonds are a girls best friend”, but we all know its actually dogs. It only makes sense that a lot of women would love jewelry that includes their fur baby. Jasper Go Fetch did a brilliant sterling silver, personalized pendant with Tiberius’ face. I get so many complements when I wear it and this jewelry won’t break the bank. You can get a full body of just a facial portrait done.
Valentine Dog Breed Specific Apparel & Accessories
I have two favorite companies for dog themed apparel. Anyone can get a “dog mom or dad” shirt but these companies take it a step further. Check them out to see what fits your needs better.

Inkopious offers custom sketches too but they also have tons of pre-designed breeds to pick from, perfect for any dog lovers valentine. My moms dog is a golden-doodle. For Christmas, I found the golden-doodle with her dogs likeness. With that pre-made design I was able to quickly order a sweatshirt that my mom loved. With many if these designs you can add on holiday themes or fun accessories. While this portrait was not an exact of her dog the turn around time was super quick and there were lots of designs to choose from.
Dog Art
This is on our to do list this week to experiment for you. You can pick up a canvas at your desired size and your significant others favorite colors. Maybe some colors that match a room you spend a lot of time in. Put generous drops of paint spread out on the canvas, then cover it with a baggie or press n’ seal. Make sure the bottom is also covered so that pain doesn’t leak out. Cover the outside with you dogs favorite spreadable food – peanut butter, spray cheese, wet dog food, plain yogurt, ect. After that, let your pup go to town licking and spreading the pain into an original artwork!
